This marvelous palm from the rainforests of Sarawak on the Island of Borneo has been described as a new species as recently as 2012. It sports large, circular leaves with broad segments, beautifully mottled in yellow and dark green, similar to Licuala mattanenis 'Mapu' but much larger overall. It requires humid, tropical conditions to do well.
